Every year, I get somewhat older and wiser but for some reason I always break my new years resolutions. But then again sometimes I think why do I wait until the start of the new year to do something. I guess its just the feeling of starting it on January 1st and continuing it thoughout the year...start point. My resolutions for '09: -No more white rice/pasta: I end up consuming more than I need -Lose my nursing school/college weight!: I won't go into how much I weighed when I first went into college (6 years ago) and when I entered the nursing program (3.5 years ago). For Christmas, I had the bf get me a 2 year 24 hour fitness pass. I'm totally going to make the most of it. At least I hope so. -Stop drinking pop (soda): I gave it up for Lent a few years ago and stopped, but this year I started drinking it again and blah, I know it's just added calories -Maybe taking up a new hobby or perhaps completley knit something -Find a new job, meaning that I'll have to super study for the NCLEX and push my way to get an RN job. There is always a need for nurses but because of the economic situation at the moment, alot of hospitals and places are having hiring freezes. -Buy a new car: I want to get a hybrid something, hopefully a hybrid SUV of some sort. -Teach Mila new tricks. So there's my list of resolutions for 2009. Let's see how many things I will actually end up doing on this list. |
